Dr. Nassir Ghaemi says amphetamines should be used only as a last resort and mainly for short-term treatment in ADHD and bipolar disorder.  Oh well.

[Flash 9 is required to listen to audio.]

Listen, please!  Can anyone tell us what this song is??? @NatalieMorton just left me a voicemail about a song that I couldn’t figure out either.   It’s driving me crazy.

I keep wanting to switch the “doo-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo” part she’s singing with “Do the Locomotion,” which is ridiculous, but I figured I’d mention it.

It is NOT “Do the Panic” by Phantom Planet.  That one goes “Come on, Come on, it’s time to lose control. Come on, Come on, turn off your radio.”

Help!

UPDATE:  ANSWER:  ”Accidentally in Love” - The Counting Crows

This is something a made not too long ago, with good old fashioned colored pencils, glue, and construction paper.  It’s of the things I take to function everyday.
The medication is as follows:
Lamictal is a mood balancer for the Bipolar Disorder.  (1 before bedtime)
Adderall makes me momentarily sane for the ADHD.  (1 in the morning, 1 at noon, 1 more in the evening if working late)
Ativan makes me momentarily calm when needed for my anxiety disorder.  (2 before bedtime to counteract the insomnia)
Iron helps my anemia.  It also has a similar side effect as Adderall and raises my body temperature, making me sweat terribly at very inconvenient times.  One being when I first held hands with my current boyfriend on one of our first dates.  (1 in the morning)
I am also currently on Norco, a pain killer, as a result of a recent, surprisingly very painful surgery to remove bad tissue from under my arm.  (1 every four hours, 6 a day total)
And of course the Iron in combination with the painkillers cause me to become constipated, for which I have to take Ex-Lax  It is literally a pain in my ass.  (2 pills before bedtime)
This all adds up to a tentative 16 pills I take daily, including the Levora I take in the afternoon for B.C.
At this moment, I think the worst of my reasons for taking medication is my Bipolar Disorder.  It often tricks my body into thinking that 2 hours of sleep is enough to get through each day.  Thanks, manic cycle.  I look forward to paying for that in sleeping 14 hours a day when the depression cycle comes around.  In case no one caught it, that was sarcasm.
